Founded in 2004, for 4 years, Hwajung Pagoda Junior has been committed to providing superior and top quality English language instruction to a range of 1500 students’ needs and facilitating access to the exceptional schools of Korea.
Admission decisions are determined by the result of an entrance exam to ensure that only qualified students are admitted. At the beginning of each term, parents are invited to a school conference, where parents are informed with a program of any changes for the new term.
Hwajung Pagoda Junior’s commitment to educational excellence is reflected in its progressive course structure, offering 23 levels from Elite to Honors classes tailored for students of all levels of English language skill and experience. Also the school runs 8 additional, specially-designed classes for students with special purposes such as entering certain schools or preparing for specific exams. Our students have achieved high standards of English proficiency as evidenced by acceptance to foreign language high schools and the attainment of high external test scores.
Hwajung Pagoda Junior holds a book review contest or a free speech contest alternately each term. They are designed to ensure that the students receive quality English training to fulfill extensive students’ desire and potential.
A progress report card evaluating the student’s achievement and giving feedback in a very obejective manner is issued twice a term on-line. It is a direct indication and assessment practice which represents the students’ significant learning outcome and attainment by both quantitative and qualitative means. It provides a sound basis upon which the decision to advance to a higher level is made. Along with the report card, parents are made aware of student’s commitment to their studies and school procedure through regular parent-teacher phone calls or arranged meetings.

Bundang
Pagoda Academy has 40 years of experience and tradition in English education in Korea. Pagoda took its tradition of English education and applied it to educating primary and secondary school students. Thus Pagoda Junior was established in the year 2001 and has been rapidly developing ever since.
Bundang Pagoda Junior Language Institute is located in one of the most modern suburban areas in Bundang Korea, Sunae. It is only a 1 minute walk to the Sunae Subway Station which gives you an easy access to Seoul and other areas. Quite a few buses are also available taking 20 to 30 minutes to get to Gangnam(Seoul) depending on the traffic. There is a fantastic jogging course along the Tancheon Stream with clean air and beautiful scenery. There are also many well facilitated accommodations and good restaurants in this area including Starbucks and McDonalds.
Classes take place in the Pagoda Building located in Sunae with great facilities, an R&D Department and Korea’s best faculty members. Gaegeum
Gaegeum Pagoda Junior is located in a family-friendly neighborhood of Busan. By and large, the academy serves children who live in Gaegeum, Jurye, and Gaya. Every student comes to Gaegeum Pagoda Junior for excellence in English language education. With over 500 students, our academy provides a safe and challenging learning environment for young beginners to advanced TOEFL students.

Our core components of English language instruction are: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Every preparation course actively engages and encourages students to learn English. Reading, writing, and listening classes are taught by Korean English-speaking instructors. However, speaking classes are exclusively taught by native English-language instructors. This unique method promotes greater involvement on behalf of the student and gives each a chance to practice their English conversation with a native speaker. As a result, conversation classes improve the overall vocabulary, grammar, flow, pronunciation, and spoken confidence of a student. We think it is important to not only prepare students academically, but to enrich their lives through character development.

Admission requirements are flexible. Prior to enrollment, all students must take an evaluation test. Simply, this test determines the starting level which best suits the students’ English ability.. All students are placed in a classroom where other students share a common level of competency.. This ensures a high standard of teaching by our staff. It also creates a comfortable classroom for students, whereby removing multiple ability levels in the same space. We find this stimulates a better response towards learning English.

Progress reports are done on a 3-month basis. Each student receives a report in all four components of our English language education program. After assessing the overall performance of each student, our staff can then better support and bolster individual language acquisition. Our academy believes in quality teaching through patience, teaching excellence, and superior staff qualifications.

Regardless of age, all students who complete one academic term at Gaegeum Pagoda Junior exhibit greater English language aptitude and stronger spoken confidence than before.
